Toyota confirms a hybrid LandCruiser 300 Series for Australia by mid-2026, likely based on UAE and US models.
Unlike Toyota’s smaller hybrids, this model uses a 3.4L twin-turbo V6 with a parallel hybrid setup, focussed more on performance than efficiency.
The hybrid’s combined output is expected to reach 336kW and 790Nm—much higher than the current diesel model. This ensures better towing, quicker acceleration, and solid performance.
Despite being hybrid, the vehicle retains full-time 4WD, and a 10-speed automatic with low-range capability. Locking differentials and hybrid torque help maintain the LandCruiser’s off-road reputation.
On the inside we can find high-end trims with leather seats, a 12.3” touchscreen, four-zone climate control, and possibly a 1500W outlet. Trims in different variants offer unique sporty or luxury finishes.
Prices for the hybrid LC300 could exceed the $155,990 Toyota Tundra Hybrid, making it Toyota’s most expensive vehicle in Australia. Exact prices are yet to be determined.
